10 years ago, smartphones were still a luxury item. The first iPhone was released in 2007, but it wasn't until 2009 that smartphones started to gain popularity. Facebook was still a relatively new social media platform, and Twitter was still in its infancy. YouTube was the go-to platform for video sharing, but TikTok was still years away.
Music
The music scene was vastly different 10 years ago. Bollywood music was starting to gain popularity worldwide, and K-Pop was still a niche market. Lady Gaga was at the height of her fame, and Justin Bieber was just a teenager trying to make it big. Ed Sheeran was still a relatively unknown artist, and Billie Eilish was just a kid.
Politics
The political landscape was very different 10 years ago. Barack Obama was still the President of the United States, and Angela Merkel was leading Germany. The European Union was still in its early stages, and Brexit was still a distant thought.
Environment
Climate change was already a hot topic 10 years ago, but it wasn't until recently that it gained mainstream attention. Greta Thunberg was still in school, and Extinction Rebellion was still a pipe dream.
Reflections
