The Ten Sikh Gurus

1. Guru Nanak Dev Ji (1469-1539)

Guru Nanak traveled extensively, preaching the message of love, compassion, and unity. He composed many hymns, which were later compiled into the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikhs.
2. Guru Angad Dev Ji (1504-1552)
Guru Angad Dev Ji was the second Sikh Guru and a devoted disciple of Guru Nanak. He was born in 1504 in Matte di Sarai, Punjab, India. Guru Angad developed the Gurmukhi script, which is still used in Punjabi language today. He also expanded the Sikh community and spread Guru Nanak's teachings.
3. Guru Amar Das Ji (1479-1574)
Guru Amar Das Ji was the third Sikh Guru. He was born in 1479 in Basarke, Punjab, India. Guru Amar Das emphasized the importance of community service and established the tradition of langar, where Sikhs gather to share a meal together.
4. Guru Ram Das Ji (1534-1581)
Guru Ram Das Ji was the fourth Sikh Guru. He was born in 1534 in Lahore, Punjab, India. Guru Ram Das founded the city of Amritsar and laid the foundation of the Golden Temple, one of the holiest Sikh shrines.
5. Guru Arjan Dev Ji (1563-1606)
Guru Arjan Dev Ji was the fifth Sikh Guru. He was born in 1563 in Goindwal, Punjab, India. Guru Arjan compiled the Adi Granth, the first version of the Guru Granth Sahib. He was martyred in 1606, becoming the first Sikh martyr.
6. Guru Hargobind Singh Ji (1595-1644)
Guru Hargobind Singh Ji was the sixth Sikh Guru. He was born in 1595 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. Guru Hargobind was known for his bravery and introduced the concept of Miri-Piri, which emphasized the importance of both spiritual and temporal power.
7. Guru Har Rai Ji (1630-1661)
Guru Har Rai Ji was the seventh Sikh Guru. He was born in 1630 in Kiratpur, Punjab, India. Guru Har Rai was known for his humility and kindness. He was a strong advocate for the Sikh way of life and healed many people through his spiritual powers.
8. Guru Harkrishan Ji (1656-1664)
Guru Harkrishan Ji was the eighth Sikh Guru. He was born in 1656 in Kiratpur, Punjab, India. Guru Harkrishan was known for his compassion and selfless service to humanity. He died at a young age, but his legacy lives on.
9. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji (1621-1675)
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was the ninth Sikh Guru. He was born in 1621 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. Guru Tegh Bahadur was a strong advocate for human rights and fought against injustice. He was martyred in 1675.
10. Guru Gobind Singh Ji (1666-1708)
Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the tenth and final Sikh Guru. He was born in 1666 in Patna, Bihar, India. Guru Gobind Singh is known for creating the Khalsa, the Sikh brotherhood, and introducing the Five Ks: kesh (uncut hair), kangha (comb), kara (steel bracelet), kachera (cotton underwear), and kirpan (sword).
