1 Samuel 17:23-27: David's Faith in the Face of Goliath's Insults
The Giant's Taunts

Goliath's Insults

David, however, is not intimidated. He trusts in the power of God and knows that He is the One who will deliver him from the hand of Goliath. David confidently responds, "You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a shield, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied" (1 Samuel 17:45-47).
Faith in the Face of Fear
David's faith is not shaken by Goliath's insults or the fear that grips the hearts of the Israelites. He knows that God is with him, and that He will give him the strength and courage needed to defeat the giant.
