1 Corinthians 9:13-14: The Reward of the Gospel Ministers
In the book of 1 Corinthians, chapters 8-10, the apostle Paul discusses the principles of Christian liberty and the importance of not causing others to stumble. In chapter 9, Paul defends his apostolic authority and explains why he has not availed himself of his rightful remuneration as a minister of the gospel.
Sacrificing for the Sake of the Gospel

"Do you not know that those who perform sacred services eat the food of the temple, and those who serve at the altar are parts of the altar? So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel."
