Step 2: Dissolve Sodium Acetate in Distilled Water

Step 3: Adjust the pH

Use a pH meter to measure the pH of the solution. The pKa of sodium acetate is approximately 4.76, so the ideal pH range for this buffer is between 4.5 and 5.5.
